Foot pump

Hi
Can anyone recommend a foot pump suitable for pressure up to 65psi. The current one - a Halford double cylinder - the support legs bend when trying to achieve the required pressure. Cheers Geoff

After having several useless pumps over the years I now have one of these Mitchelin pumps. It is more sturdy, but I did find the nozzle very tight to put on the tyre valve so fitted a replacement nozzle.

Thanks for the info but have read some very poor reports on this pump - the double cylinder version - on Amazon. There seems to be some design faults which cause the pump to fail prematurely. Anymore suggestions?

I have the single cylinder version - have you heard bad reports about it?

Not a "foot pump" but an excellent pump for manually pumping up 65 psi caravan tyres is the Topeak Joe Blow Sport 11.

You might get better prices hunting about, but make sure it is specifically the "Sport 11" as this comes with an excellent valve coupler; some others don't.
The size of our tyres mean it is inevitably going to be quite hard work, but this pump is very capable of the 65 psi, just takes a while if lifting more than the few psi typically encountered in routine maintenance.

I have a Michelin pump from Halfords.

Had it a while, not sure exactly how long, with no problems. Feels a good sturdy pump. My caravan tyres need to be 65 psi, which I check every trip and they normally need a couple of psi putting in, also use it for two cars so it gets a reasonable amount of use and this pump has been perfect for the job. Very happy with it.

The Michelin single cylinder foot pump had similar poor reports on Amazon achieving only 2.5 stars.

Geoffk, do you need a foot pump or will a 12v one do ?
I had always used a foot pump as I was told a 12v one took ages to pump up a tyre. Last year I took the plunge due to dodgy knees and purchased a 12v pump from Halfords and it works better than I expected and cuts off at the set pressure.
One of the magazines did a review of 12v pumps recently but I cannot remember which magazine it was
