Sir - just to inform you that we are visiting Lucksall site on Friday 25th. July for long weekend. Pitch 4. Mentioned your name and they were very thankful for the reference, so you may now be in their good books. Did not charge us extra or even ban us from visiting. We will however be in the Hereford area on Sunday so will have to keep our heads down for fear of attack by your longbow men. LOL

Emmerson - thank you for your fraternal wish and advice regarding the local hostelry. Depending on how we get on this weekend we are contemplating leaving the van there and using it as a regular break if they have the facilities to cater for this. From the web page and their brochure it does appear quite a nice peaceful site and local for many areas to visit. Hopefully the river will not be in flood this weekend.

Yes he did - I hope he remains quiet as he has some bad feelings towards the Welsh and a few times I have been threatened by him should I be in Hereford on a Sunday - apparantly there is some ancient law whereby it is legal to kill a Welshman on a Sunday in Hereford using a long bow - or so he says LOL

Colin,

Don't dispair! LB's eye sight is so poor these days he couldn't hit a barn door with a 105mm howitzer! let alone a longbow, BTW he probably hasn't got the strength to draw the string anyway, time to use the English (Colin, sorry for creeping in that swear word) term of endearment as used by their archers at Agincourt!

I'm glad my serfs at Lucksall could accommodate you Colyn :O)

They do have seasonal pitches there, a couple of years ago it was
