For those going to Holland

Just back from a couple of weeks in Holland. One thing to watch out for when in the western part is the use of "sleeping policemen" on main roads. They are used on some of the main N roads where the speed limit is 50 KM. There are small notices indicating "drempels" but if hit them at 50 (30 M/H) you can scrap the yoghurt from the ceiling of your fridge. Oh and your visa card does NOT work in the Albert Hein (equivalent to Tesco) so make sure you have cash. Happy holiday. Theo

Having lived in Holland these speed bumps are pretty well countywide. The road sign to watch out for is coloured blue, and is marked 'Let Op Drempels'
