If you want to tow heavier and stick within 85%, you need to get up with the big boys!
totally agree with you. We had a 57 plate Santa Fe loved it. I've seen ix35 towing vans to big for them shocking really x

Mass of the combination does not exceed 3500Kg, And the trailers MTPLM does not exceed the Tow vehicles UnLaden Mass.

You can also tow heavier trailers if the total weight of vehicle and trailer isn’t more than 3,500kg. The fully loaded trailer can’t weigh more than the unladen vehicle.
