I have a Ford extended warranty on Kuga up to 70,000 miles from when purchased or 6 years When you buy Ford you can extend 3 year warranty up to 6 years with full cover for £750 which I did. It’s a no brainer not to do it,

Kia, Hyundai long warranties are included and transferable.
Clive couldn’t agree more .
Both Sorentos , from 2005 served us with no issues until replaced by the Touareg.SWMBO Kia continues into its 10 th year. Why VW and not the latest Sorento? The VW was far cheaper! How the tide has turned🙀

With Toyota you can buy one that may be deficient in its service history, then take it to a Toyota dealership for a service. If it’s okay, or any issues dealt with its then taken In by Toyota under their annual repeating warranty. I did that with mine. It had not had its third Toyota service in August 2024, but when I bought it in December 2024 Sytner serviced. But whether it fully met Toyota specifications I’m not that certain. But Sytner said it did, but also gave me a very comprehensive 15 month warranty, breakdown cover and MoT insurance to March 2026. However I put it in to Toyota in August 2025 for service and mot. No problems so it was then covered by Toyota 12 month warranty. The OP could do worse than a used RAV4 AWD hybrid either way 1500 kg tow weight for PHEV, or 1650kg hybrid. Has to be AWD as 2WD hybrid is only 800 kg
