Hi I am thinking of changing my current towcar,jeep grand cherokee for a later model maverick (03 reg),does anyone have any experiance of these as a towcar.

Do you mean the later model that ford only imported for a year or two? Or the one that was also badged as the Nissan Terrano?

I've towed a 1000kg van with a Terrano 2.7td. It was stable enough but drank fuel & was pretty gutless up hill at motorway speeds.

Glenn,I mean the later 3.0 petrol version,which I believe is the same as a Mazda Tribute.

Have a look at the later Grand Cherokees, the 2.7 diesel is a good tow car and not to thirsty for a vehicle of its size.

Hi, I used to tow with a 2.7 and found it great.In 2 years had no problems.
