ford mondeo and lunar gemini

hi all,

can anyone tell me how do you work out the weight you have in your van if it over the weight limit or not.

we had an awning and poles tined food clothes and all your basic equipment.

we are new to this caravaning and any advise given by all you people will be a bounus.

Visit a public weighbridge next time you're loaded to go - it's the only way to accurately determine your actual weights.

We've always carried awning, poles and tinned food/drink in the car boot.

I weigh everything and use an excel spreadsheet for different types of trip. ie weekends, 2 weeks UK etc. When I took the van laden for a 2 week braek to a weighbridge my calculated weight was 20kg under that from the bridge and both w ere under the MTPLM. What the spreadsheet really shows is just what a weight normal every day things do add to the load in the van. I never cease to be amazed when I see what some vannesr take out of the van when arriving at sites. They must be well over thier max weight but probably never realise it.
