Hello all,
Just after a little advice. We have just purchased a Ford Mondeo Estate 2 litre petrol 'W' reg 2000. We have had to buy this due to my trusty Vauxhall Astra 1.4 petrol being written off by a muppet of a driver (but that is another story)
Our caravan is a Abi Monza which when fully laden weighs no more than 875kg. My husband assures me that it will pull the van a dream and proably something bigger if we ever upgraded. This will also be my car for work so am hoping it will be economical on petrol etc?
Any advice welcome
Andrea

We've towed for a lot of years with various Mondeos. We've generally had diesel, but did have a petrol one early on. They've all been good towcars, and our caravan is much heavier than yours, so I don't think you'll have any problems at all. It will certainly tow better than your Astra!

Thanks for your comments, but the astra did tow very well in actual fact! We even out smarted 4x4's towing twin axles up Birdlip Hill in Oxfordshire lol !!
On a serious note though i'm sure we will have no problems with the mondeo
