BBC weather forecast tonight said a dramatic change in the weather is due next week and the week after. The jetstream is at last leaving the south and going way up north, where it should be at this time of the year, allowing sunshine and warmth to our cold, wet bones

.
I do hope they've got it right, as we're away in the van for a week next week.

We would like rain next week, at least the first part
smiley-wink.gif

The past weekend was spent conducting functional trials on the new van whilst in the drive and on this coming Sunday we are going away for three nights to do the live-in test. We would like rain on Sunday and Monday nights in order to 'weather' the seams on the new awning and dry on Tuesday to take it down.
Can this be arranged please?

I've just discovered Sir Gagakev is away the same time as me in august.
This is a bad omen. It always rains when he goes away

.
Just waiting for the rain to stop then I'll hitch up and go down to Chipping Sodbury for an assessment on our recent failures.

I hope your wrong DD, here at Bourton on the Water CC site overnight. Travelled in rain this am. but beautiful afternoon now, I don't think even Kev can ruin it. I'm giving a guarantee now for next three weeks (to Dorset tomorrow.) Staying near Corfe Castle, don't usually do August but Grandaughter power rules!!!! (PS - even my dongle is dongling superbly. Life's good when it's orange) Folks sat outside wiping the 'rust' off now. Hose pipe ban back next week???? Hopefully.

Hi Kev (should that be Jinxkev?). Your chance to slay the jinx dragon is now. Arrived Dorset yesterday site on entering not very inviting, reception in a 'traditional' farmyard - ie junk everywhere. But driving on to site bit more optimistic. Pitch ok, all grass. Awning up in beautiful sunshine. Then fish 'n chips in Swanage sat outside in beautiful sunshine. this morning typing this in beautiful sunshine (I'm getting fed up of this?)
Gurantee eh? If it should change you can have another fourtnight in September - you have my permission! (Don't think it will be needed - forecast even better)
Ps Dongling superbly (better than home)

Sir Gagakev

I knew a chap who hurt his back getting out of his lorry's cab.
The doctor gave him four weeks off to rest. He toured Scotland!!
smiley-surprised.gif

I'm off saturday week so you better make sure it doesn't rain this time.Knowing you are away too we have packed all our waterproofs

Went out with the dogs at 6 this morning and got absolutely soaked. It's still bucketing down.
In true Sir Gagakev form, he's on holiday.
Who needs the weather man when we have Sir Gagakev WC (BAR)

Hope you got it down before the shower we've just had, necessitating the third load of washing coming in before completely dry!!! Why on earth have you come to visit this awful boring flatland of powerstations and flood plains??? Oh our beloved Devon and Cornwall were lovely!!! Can't wait for the next 5 years and we can move back home!!!!!

Sounds as though you couldn't claim on the 'guarantee' then Kev. I/we got home Friday after 3 weeks (yes - 3 repeat 3 glorious weeks in Dorset) Dragon slayed for you Kev. (And I thought it would be against Woosie rules to use holidays for "work"?!!!!.)
