Does the takeover of the Forestry Commission sites by the C & CC mean that I have to be a member of the Club in order to visit the sites, book in advance etc?
 
I don't see why it should - non-members can use the vast majority of C&CC sites and make advance bookings. Presumably these new sites will be at least as open to non-members as is the existing site network. But if you use them regularly, it might work out cheaper to join the C&CC, assuming that the same member discounts will apply.
