Just a personal view. See John Cs #17. Purely a point of interest but one may say an erosion of what we had🙀
You only have to tap the poster’s picture and the stats are available to view with a slight increase in information. Plus all the other data on members stats, robots, guests etc is still there for those who want to view it.

I always log out of any website I visit when I've finished with it.

I don't like leaving a trail of where I've been
On an iPad or phone, I think Android are similar.. Security is done each time you log in, either by passcode, fingerprint or face recognition. This protects all apps, banking and open web sites. Many apps, particularly banking, require face (in my case) before they will open on every occasion. With this site. Even if I logged out, when I log back in my history is preserved.

My AppleMac is not as advanced requiring a password on opening. But I found by accident, that my watch will unlock it automatically.

Login in is not the problem for me. It's that unless you're careful your browser of choice may not be clearing cookies and history.

Cookies can be read by other websites to see where you've been and even what you looked at.

It's why some folks get 'followed' around the internet. Look at shoes on one went site and you may find the next one you visit may start offering you shoes as well before you ask.

The data that some of these cookies hold may even be sold to third party companies for whatever purpose.

I find every time Apple upgrade the IOS thing on my kit everything changes for the worse. Boxes move from top to bottom , colours change , lottery almost trips you up to buy twice the tickets you want ie a Monday and Thursday.

I feel I am being cheated and tripped up,by greedy I tech nutters🙀🙉

Shoes can be a serious problem. Even messrs Rubio and Vance have come in for some stick recently.

From your first post I thought you meant you specificly logged out of the forum, but I now think you are logging out of the browser. (If I read you correctly).

I manage to avoid the tracking by using a virus checker. I use F-Secure. It does more than just viruses, (but it is beyond me). However. I get very little of the ‘shoe type of problem. Except on Amazon, and Facebook. Both of which are notorious for that. But it can be useful sometimes.
