What about just a 'generic' caravan symbol, such as that used on road signs, rather than a specific (if 'niche') brand?????
Can we get GagaKev to produce 'individualised' versions for us???????

Definitely better than the first but I think you need to alter the character spacing for the URL, it gives the impression of a space between practical and caravan at the moment.

I prefer the second but not keen on the caravan. Perhaps the stickers could be included in the magazine for distribution. I'll have to change my name if that's possible, I'm sure it didn't have all those numbers after it before the site was upgraded.

I'm glad the name bit has been lengthened

Regarding the caravan pic I'm sure I could do a bit of editing on my computer and replace it with the family crest of two stags rampant

Hi guys, thanks for your comments. Especially letting us know about the gap in the URL! Good sub-editing skills!
Regarding the choice of an Eriba for the caravan image, we deliberately went for a slightly obscure model of van, so as not to be seen as favouring one more popular or current model over another.
We are planning to produce them in the form of a car window sticker. ie, a kind of vinyl clinging sticker that can repositioned or moved without problems or leaving a sticker residue behind.
We will let you know shortly when they will be available.

As we've all said you can't please everyone but is the Eriba that obscure? There are two at our storage site and we see quite a few on our travels! Surely a LMC would be more obscure unless you are a member of the travelling community.

Cost of a sticker?

After a lot of careful weighing up, we've decided that registered forum users can get them for the very cheap price of £0.

That's as low as we're prepared to go :)

Does that include postage?

Wow £0!!!! What a bargain ... I shall have fun out and about on our travels when we are in receipt of said stickers playing spot the sticker and then seeing if we recognise anyone from their avatar picture (yes, yes, yes - I know I am one of those who has yet to upload one, am working on one that doesn't show my double chin too much
smiley-wink.gif
ahem!) - it's a fab idea.

I reckon you may get a few on the forum to donate the odd pound for them Nigel.

I am sure there has to be some sort of caravan charity out there we could help support.

Please forward your donations to Gagakev@------ only kidding, calm down for goodness sake.

Actually wee jock think its a brilliant idea, I for one would donate for the right charity, if there is no caravan related charity then perhaps PC could choose one and raise some cash at the PC rally at Stowford as well.
Problem is Nigel has promised me two so I would have to pay twice

I'd agree that a reasonable voluntary donation in return for stickers to a charity chosen by Practical Caravan magazine would reinforce a more positive image of touring caravanners, great idea Jock

I'll happily donate to a charity. May I suggest it is a less well known one. eg the Air Ambulance Services around the country are individual to the County and receive no Government or NHS help. My local Red Lion are supporting Wiltshire Air Ambulance Service this year.
On the stickers front I'm happy with my name being shown. A while back Parksy came up with our pics being shown too, a nice touch that.
