France in Easter

Thinking of going Dover Calais to Champagne area for Easter. Is anything open at this time of year, and is it a popular time to caravan. Also what are the weather trends there at this time of year.

One of the benefits of going to France with caravan in Easter is that there are not too many there and you are not packed into full campsites like sardines in this country. Plenty of room to breathe and provided you get a good priced ferry crossing may not cost you any more. As Val says - camping cheques are a great way to go at Easter and could work out at nearly half the price of a site in England at Easter when you are paying premium rates.
 
Thanks for your comments. I am still undecided. It certainly seems that not many Brits venture across the waves at this time of year.
