Hi,I have just bought a Freeview "digibox"12v or 230v, my question is does anyone have experience of this system in the caravan, will the "digibox" be any good, will my status ariel be good enough or will I need a more directional one or would a set top ariel be ok,I realise that location will affect my signal but I mean generally speaking is freeview a good thing.Many thanks,Denis.
 
We have a freeview box and at most locations it works fine through the status Ariel. However we do carry an external Ariel with 12 volt booster for poor reception areas.
 
Hi Denis, Whether an indoor arial will be sufficient will depend entirely on your location, so unless you use the same pitch everytime you caravan, you will not know. Exterior arials will have a better chance of capturing the available signal.If you have trouble receiving all the analog channels the chances are that there is insufficent signal for Freeview to resolve the digital data stream.
