Freiburg to Innsbruck route

Hi All
Any one recomend a route from Freiburg Germany to Innsbruck Austria please without going in to Switzerland ?

If you enter 'Ravensburg' and/or 'Kempten' as an intermediate stop in a routeplanner, you should get a suggested route which doesn't take you into Switzerland.

Whilst you are staying in the Black forest, you can get a free (Konus Gastekarte) pass to use on the local trains & buses in the area.
Some camp sites will give you the pass & some you have to get from the local tourist office
You can travel anywhere between Basel in the south & Rheinstetten (north of Strasbourg)

If you make for E41 81 then to Singen 98 to Stockach then along the Bodensee on the 31 to E43 96 then down E60 14 to Innsbruck easy peasy done it loads of times. Just done the route this week from Braz in Austria to Bad Rippolsau in the Black Forest.

You get guest card when you book in at Alisehof, Bad Rippoldsau in the Black Forest.

Thanks for all your replys will probably be doing Diannes route as they have traveled it thanks for the tips on the passes

Good Luck on your travels. We did the journey last Friday with out any hitch. If you want a treat for lunch go into Service Area at Im Hegau and ask for Karotte-Ingwercreme suppen. Carrot and Ginger Soup which we had on Friday with a roll for lunch it was delicious like all German or Austrian Service Areas the food and surrondings are excellent and food is too. Another one to try after the Alberg Tunnel before Innsbruck is the Trofana Tyrol in Austria more excellent unusual surrondings and good food. No problems with parking or safety on these areas. Stolen Caravans are unheard of in Germany and Austria. At Im Hegau there are special parking for Cars and Trailers/Caravans. Just follow the Car with Trailer sign.
