i am taking my caravan to france in may and i have been told that some sites have a different polaritie. so how do i know what polaritie i am useing and more important how do i go about changeing the polarities?
 
You can buy a polarity tester from a caravan accesory shop and buy a male and a female socket to make a reverse polarity adaptor by changing the live and neutral wire round. also you may need a french plug adaptor.
