It needs a service.
Whilst it may be lit, the flame is not as it should be and is not effective.
It is NOT a DIY job, as the jet is very delicate and get it wrong, the flame will either produce very high levels of Carbon Monoxide or be so big it is a fire hazard.
Get a qualified engineer to service it.
