Fridge on Inverter

On longer journeys, over 5 hours my fridge (Thetford) starts to warm up on 12v.

I have recently coupled an inverter between the leisure battery and the 240v AC intake on the van as an experiment.

The fridge only draws 115w on 240v ac and it works excellent on the inverter, and lasts hours on the leisure battery, my question is is there any issue using this setup on the move with regard to vents/wind?

Problem is that 115w is 10amps from the battery plus any losses through the inverter, not the best solution although I see no other reason why not.

I would be checking what the voltage is at the fridge from the 12S socket to find out why the fridge does not work as it should while towing. Size of wire and particularly connections through the 12S socket are the main cause of poor cooling which is generally due to voltage drop.
