Why not switch off your fridge's mains supply and run the fridge on gas. It should give your daughter a holiday and you can sort out the problem when she gets back. It's probably the element as Damian has said.

Gary, your reply confirms that it is the element which is faulty and needs replacing.

As Ron has suggested, it can be run on gas (if that is working) just do not select mains power for the fridge.

The usual problem is a bit of damp around the wire connections at the element end, so run the fridge on gas now and try it again on mains before the trip.

Usually 24/48 hours heat from the gas will dry out the damp and all will be well

What you don't say is whether it is the (smaller) miniature circuit breaker (MCB) that trips or the larger RCD - the device with a button on it, or for that matter indeed whether it is the caravan that is tripping or your home supply? They may all have different causes.
