during our summer hols,our electrolux fridge stopped working while on 240 v.after changing it over to gas it started working again.the green light was still working for the 240 v switch though.

any suggestions what the problem is?

Sounds like your 230 volt element has gone, I got my dealer to change mine a couple of years ago.

My green light stayed on even though the element had failed.
