From Cheshire to West Germany - to the Rheinpfalz region

We are looking to take the van abroad for the first time next year to this region.

Our exact area would be a place called Neustadt das Weinstrasse for a few days but then would like to move on.

Any suggestions, recommend books to read, overnight stops etc would really be appreciated.

I can recommend a campsite about 20 miles to the west of Neustadt. It's Camping Freizeitzentrum S
