Hi am travelling from rosslaire to killarney ex fishguard

can anybody recommend good fuel stop with access for 4 units all twin axle near port or on route.

also how much cheaper is diesel in Ireland?

I believe lay byes are non existant or too small for more than one unit.

Diesel is still a little cheaper in Ireland over UK prices but not as good as it used to be. Maybe 8-10pence at present. There is a garage on your left at the top of the hill after leaving the port which might suit your needs. The lay-byes in the South of Ireland are all blocked off with low height barriers in order to stop the travellers from taking them over. We travel from the North of Ireland to Rosslare to get the ferry to France and we find it so frustrating that there is nowhere we can stop to have a cup of tea! Are you hoping to get to Killarney in one go?

Sorry can't help with your fishing query.

When we went to Waterville we travelled via Waterford and Cork and from Rosslaire to Waterville took us approx 6 hours without a caravan in tow. It is a long haul and might be better to find an overnight stop en route.

Forgot to mention - depending on what ferry sailing it may be possible to stay overnight on the quay side at either Fishgaurd or Rosslaire and have an early start to your trip across Ireland.
