FUEL

I know its a standard, but can someone tell me where the EASIEST and CHEAPEST fuel is after arriving on the ferry late Sunday out of season. heading for Reims A26 but know there are no local stations after junction 1/47 where the A16 crosses. Directions would be good.

Thanks wayne

I assume that you will be arriving in Calais. The truck stop fuel station at the first junction along the dual carriageway out of the ferry port is open and manned 24/7 365 days a year.

It has been being rebuilt recently and was still open for business working from portacabins.

Take the slip road after the long bend and the garage is around the roundabout under the road to the left. Cheaper than UK fuel and should prevent you running out.

On the subject of fuel, are the differences between petrol, and diesel as easly spotted as here in the uk, ie black pump for diesel, would hate to be stuck half way to st jean de montes.

and any other ideas to help make my first journey an easy one.

thanks.
