An original Ronnie Barker script just showing again on a Sky Channel. A brilliant mini film.
But why do they post the warning:-
“ Contains 70s social attitudes” 🙀

I must be a very unlikeable bloke who grew up and married in the 70s? Am I not normal in attitude🙀🙉

Don't worry you are no different to many others of your generation. We don't have Sky, the COLC and all that stuff. .

Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid for us tonight.

I have all the Ronnie Barker scripts. I must admit that most of them were better on screen than in writing. However someone saw something in them and decided to air them.

I fondly remember Futtocks End.

Also still in memory is The Plank with Eric Sykes and Arthur Lowe (Captain Mainwaring). It's on YouTube if you want a trip down memory lane.

What would today's Wokes make of Alf Garnett?

OC....What's COLC

I remember Futtocks End well. Not a word of dialogue, but I understood everything!

PROPER
comedy, unlike most of what people try to convince us is "funny" these days.

I would really love to see "It Ain't Half Hot Mum" but there's more chance of hell freezing over, mainly due to the Sgt Major's "attitude" Shame isn't it?

I was also married in the 70's, Golden Wedding next October.

It was all comical satire. Have people today forgotten what real humour without intended offence is truly about? So glad I grew up and married in the 70s😉

Married in the 1960s and still yearn for the opportunity for a good public execution 🙈

Times and social attitudes have undergone change since ancient times. Why should today’s generation be different?

We have all the episodes on DVD. Hilarious to watch. Same with "Are you being served" and "Dads Army". If watching Fawlty Towers on TV warnings posted all over the place! Sadly today the only humour is catching something on the Smartphone to send to thousands of dumb followers. LOL!
