Ga problem

Wehave a 2008 Swift Conqueror with an external BBQ point. When we used the BBQ and then disconnected the pipe we have found that the gas supply to the hob and oven is cut off for a period. Does anybody know if there an automatic cut-off which is causing the problem or is something I am doing?

I cant help but this happening cant be right.

I presume there is a gas tap in the "hatch" and you are switching that off before disconnecting? It ought to be fool proof even if your not and you ought to be very aware of a gas smell it its internal non return vale is leaking enough to influence these big users.
