Gas BBQ

My caravan has a fixed regulator installed for the vans gas appliances, this is pre set at 30 mBar, I believe this is a compromise so that either Propane or Butane may be used!

The van also has an external gas point for BBQ, However the Cadac BBQ I have just bought says to use it at 37 mBar, if I plug into my external supply at 30 mBar will it be sufficient to run the Cadac safely. Does anyone else have any experience of using the external gas supply in this way?

Ps I have emailed Cadac but waiting a reply.

Regards Jim

The simple answer is yes they do work. You will find you get a slightly hotter flame with Butane than at the old pressure (28Mbar) and a slightly cooler flame on Propane as the pressure is lower.

Thanks Chris

I have tried it out at home on a gas bottle and 37Mbar regulator.I was very pleased with it.
