Thank you Parksy.
I must admit with hindsight that I do tend to be a bit sensitive at times. Saint-Spoon has made the point that:- what can be a light hearted comment tends to loose a bit when written down.
Thinking properly about it it's obvious his comment was made with the same smile on his face I would have used in an actual conversation on the subject.
I remember now the posts from a while ago that went on for a while regarding changing ownership of calor bottles etc. So now can see where his comments came from.

Since my only incoming communication now days is written I really must learn to not look at things too closely.
Regards Brian

Apologies to the mods if my post was in anyway immoral or under hand.
I was genuinely trying to do another forum member a bit of a favour.
I suppose I'm getting a bit too sensitive in my old age

I am sure either of the mods though would have explained to me my error without resorting to Immoral or Under Hand. Potentially illegal I suppose could have been within their text!
Best wishes to all Brian

My apologies if I caused any offence or upset, I was just jesting certainly didn't intend to cause either. Of course a typed message loses any sense of jocular inflection. In way of explanation we had a rather lengthy debate on the subject of gas cylinder a while back, and it went on a bit with some slightly heated opinions.

Thank you for your comment Saint-Spoon. No apology required. I'm guilty of an overreaction to what was obviously a light hearted bit of banter (for want of a better phrase)
Had I thought about the previous calor cylinder postings I would have taken the post as it was intended.
best wishes Brian

You're welcome Brian, we guessed that The Saint was having a laugh because of a previous long running gas bottle thread and took no notice at the time until you had replied earlier. ;)
When I'm being a wind up merchant I add a couple of those smiley icon thingy's but even then it can backfire if someone doesn't quite realise that I'm just joking. Who'd have imagined when we were schoolkids years ago that one day we'd be sitting down typing stuff to friends who we've never met in person? As a kid wondering about the future I'd have gone along with telepathy or signals from outer space but sitting at a keyboard typing about Calor gas bottles ?????

Yes Parksy I'm still amazed how far the world (or at least my world) has moved since the days of walking about three quarters of a mile aged 16 to a local phone box to call my Girlfriend (now my wife) Campsites I used Those days and well into the 70s I considered it a bonus if they sold a few eggs or occasionally potatoes. Never occurred to me that toilets, showers and electric hook up was only just over the horizon.
Cheers again
Best wishes Brian
