Gas cooker

As most of you may now know I have a 15 year old caravan Elddis Tyfoon 1000 and am doing it up ready from some caravaning for the first time.

I am now working on the cooker gas rings, one is working good but the others are a bit low in the flame.

Can I take the jets out and clean them or bye new jets?

This is the ring and jet that are on the top.

I have also found next to the burner ring a spike, looks like a electrode or igniter but dose nothing to light the ring as I have to light it with a match or lighter.

Any tips or help would be appreciated.

Reg & Pat

Hello reg & pat.

I must point out the law.

All installation service repairs or removal of gas appliances has by law to carried out by a competent person.

A competent person would know the process and how to resolve you current difficulty, the fact that you have had to ask about this on the forum points to the probability that you are not as the law requires competent.

I must advise that you arrange to have the appliance checked by a competent fitter.
