We're away at the moment and for the first time, no hook up!!! Everything's going fine.
However, we put the gas fire on last night as it turned quite chilly. When I turned it off (to zero), the gas went off (fire) but there's a faint clicking noise. The only way we could stop it from clicking was to take the AA battery out. I've looked in the manual and can't find any solution. The fridge is running on gas, the water is too, all working fine, gas cooker ok.

If your fire is of the type where you hold the knob / dial down to light it, could it be stuck down a little as it sounds as though the fire is trying to light....

Hi

Thanks for the replies. I think I have sorted it now. It appears that I have to turn the dial just past the '0' and hold the knob down for a couple of seconds and that stops it.

Thanks.

The zero mark should only be taken as a guide and the knob should be turned fully passed zero if required until it stops, the last bit is quite possibly a little bit stiffer to turn as this is what shuts a gas isolation valve.
However, on turning back on, again the first bit of the turn opens the isolation valve again and then switches the spark on, so on turning off, the spark should have stopped comfortably before the finish of the turn
