Gas Safety Question.

Is it possible to disconnect my gas BQ without turning off the the control switch/knob on the exterrnal gas point.
Does it have a built in safety device which will not let you do such a thing?
Obviously I dont want to do it!! But I get paranoid and keep going back to check and re check that it is off, Ive even checked with soap suds to make sure I have turned it off!!!!

Nice to have you back Sir Rog, hope you enjoyed your time away.
Think you have missed a bit of commission since you been away, did your Kampa do you proud?

Gas will not flow out of the BBQ point until the connector is fully in place.
There is a safety cut off built into the point.

On the latest generation of BBQ points it is also impossible to put gas INTO the system via the point.

Hi Kevin.
3 weeks of bliss, and yes our Kampa was fine its been with us for 3 seasons now and have not looked back at all.
When Ive got time Ill put it on the caravan.
Sir Roger.

Hi Kev
I'm no teccie but on my Wyoming the gas isolator valve must be turned off before the pipe can be released. The tap cannot be turned on until the pipe is attached first.
