Can anyone tell me what is the legal position regarding having to place GB stickers on Car and Caravan in France. I have GB on my number plate. Is this sufficient for France.

Euro plates are fine - most "native" cars you see on the continent have them too. We've been using Euro plates for years and have had no problems at all.
 
Mike's right but only the 12 star Euro emblem with the GB underneath is legal. English, Welsh, Scottish flags etc. on the number plate are not acceptable as an alternative to a separate GB plate.
 
Yeah, Lutz and Mike P are both right.

You (we) only require a seperate GB sticker when driving outside of the EU
