Gender Reveal Balloon

I've never heard of this until my son and girlfriend turned up at our house with this big helium filled balloon.
"Come out to the garden",they said.
Were going to find out the sex of our baby"(due this November).
As they popped it,lots of pink confetti was sprayed everywhere.
Thats it then......a third granddaughter I said...congratulations.
Last week,they went for their (I think it was the 21 week scan).
"Yes,everything's fine" the nurse said.
"Do you want to know the sex?".
No thank you they said....we know its a girl.
Nurse said,"I think you better look at these scans".
And there it was.....the "extra little bit"that little boys have😂

What was it that made them think it was a girl in the first place? Was it at an earlier scan someone got wrong? Or an ‘old wife’? Or a good sales person at the balloon shop?

I think it was a complete mix up with the scan with the company involved.
Obviously they are happy with either but if they had not said"we already know the sex"at this recent scan,it could have been rather an expensive mistake.
New "blue"clothes,redecorate the bedroom etc...
Her dad paid for the "experience"and is being helped by his companies legal team to see how they stand.

Sounds like the old wife has been activated. Isnt it something like if you carry it high its a girl.

People may laugh but I had the ability to determine sex when I was younger and not once was I wrong. Certainly not with balloons etc as I used wedding ring. I have not tried it for along time so no idea if I can still do it. Same with water divining as water was scarce and had constant droughts.

In a way I'm glad it isn't a girl(carry up high) as sons girlfriend had a "booby operation"and there isn't a great deal of room to "carry high". 🤭🤭

Me too, if I got a slap in the mush, it definitely wasnt happening. Didnt waste time on small talk when I was young.
