Geneva Motor Show – star tow cars

Please keep on twisting those arms at Jaguar ... I'd love to see a report on towing with the I-pace. That's including the battery range when towing a caravan weighing 85% of the kerb weight (or the maximum towing limit if this is smaller).

So with the I pace, we would have to have another power plug on our pitch's to charge the tug, with my son working for JLR he can get me 25% off the price as well. Brings it almost realist, !!!! KEEP my Santa Fe for now though.

Nice to see the Volvo V60 reverting back to something resembling a practical load lugger.

The CRV hybrid will be an interesting one to watch. And will the Santa Fe actually arrive in UK with a diesel option. If it did it might be targeting those who like, and or need diesels. But given recent announcements and sales trends Hyundai might just go all-petrol. A case of watch this space.

Hyundai, have had a Hydrogen cell, Tuscon for a couple of years now but not in the UK. So maybe that will come here in a couple of years.

I believe hydrogen could be a viable fuel but major steps in production and infrastructure would be required. It's taking aeons with electric infrastructure but hydrogen is some longways behind. Yet in the mid 80s I met with a Canadian named Ballard who demonstrated to me a fuel cell vehicle where the hydrogen was contained in a hydride tank. Impressive but not economically viable over all this time. But environmental concerns are now driving changes and the cost benefit variables are/haved changed.
