We have a "Baby George" which is just the right size for two. It's brilliant. We cook chicken, burgers, chops and steaks on it and it's much better than the grill. Don't know about the one you're thinking of.
Don't have one myself but being a nosey git and having nothing else to do just now I had a search around and found Amazon selling these and giving technical information regarding them.
The grill and griddle is rated at 2150 watts, that, according to my calculations equates to approx 9amps. So if you are on a Club site with 16 amp hook ups you will have 5 amps to play with but on other sites with less say 10amps or even less you might have a problem.
We use the larger one in our van a lot. You can make two full size toasted sandwiches at a time in it, they're delicious.
It does steak to a turn and can also do a good lamb chop.
Nice and easy to clean too.
All you have to do is regard it as simlar power to your microwave and plan your meal accordingly. We have no trouble doing a full english and I certainly have no complaints about the taste.
Hi, We used our baby george last year when touring Portugal for 3 months.
No problem and a great asset. Just right for two as above, low power (700W) and a great way of saving Calor gas which we were worried about. As it turned out we are still using the initial 13kg cylinder. Also you can use it in the awning, which helps when it is hot and sunny outside.
Hi everybody this Baby George my wife has been looking for something like this , not sure what we are looking for on the web Can you pleas advise where we can purchase one, and the correct description , the 700 watt power sounds great.
Well after seing a demonstration of a forman grill in action, with the smoke coming away from it, during its cooking cycle , how do you guys manage with the smoke alarms, decided that if anything could cause a internal fire within the van the grill would be top of the list.
