Hi there, traveled through Germany loads of times, but noticed while on the net that you have to buy an emission sticker? DO you need these in all places, very confused the information i have found. We were going to cochem (nr Koblenz) then down towards Austria on the motorways? Any help would be good.

Generally the need for the Umwellt Plakette is only required in town/city centres, you don't need one to generally drive around Germany. This link gives more general information http://www.umwelt-plakette.de/int_england.php
