Getting arund Rouen

I'm planning to drive from Calais to Clemont Ferrand via Rouen.
Has anyone had recent experience of navigating Rouen? I've heard horror stories about getting round this city but others say it's now much improved.
 
Hi there , when we went there 3 years ago the tunnel was shut and it was a nightmare getting around the town , it was like a game of dodgems but I hear that a week later the fire damaged tunnel for that reason being shut has reopened and you should breeze through it now . Obviously you will probably get someone replying how has recently been over there ,

Hi oat,
There should be no need to go " around " Rouen " just follow the autoroute stay on the main drag through the tunnel.
