Hi all,
I’ve been lurking for a short while searching the forum and thought I’d finally sign up and say hello.
We have a Hymer Nova with an X3 to tow it.
We actually bought the caravan years ago, we went out a few times over the years but never really learned how to do everything properly, we’d normally fluff our way through the set up as quick as we could then make the best of it while away. Same scenario for wrapping up at the end of the trip.
We were helped a lot by YouTube videos but we never really found our stride.
When our dogs got too old to climb in and out easily we put our trips on hold. Shortly after Covid arrived. As such, we’ve barely touched it since 2019.
But this year we’re determined to get her back on the road. She’s currently green as hell, has a broken bathroom tap and is loooong overdue a service.
Our first job is to clear the brambles surrounding her at the storage site (it’s that bad). Then we’re going to give her a good clean and attempt to fix the tap before taking her for a service. Then, fingers crossed, we’ll be ready to head out. Obviously we have lots of jobs to do, really starting with the absolute basic stuff.
If anyone has any suggestions inside/outside the forum I’d love to hear them - that goes for general maintenance, restoring after long term storage or even just fun projects (sewing projects etc.).
Looking forward to getting on with it all!
Blake
