My husband & I wish to buy a caravan but we're a bit concerned about what

caravanning really entails for non-caravaners liker ourselves.

If anyone can give us any hints/tips or even recommend a good concise

guide to help us get started, it would be very much appreciated.

I look forward to hearing from all you experienced caravaners.

Many thanks,

Vicky

Go to the Caravan Club website and under practical help you will find 'Getting Started - A Beginner's Guide to Caravanning'.

Hi Vicky,

Agree totally with Dusty - we have always found the CC really good.

I suggest you buy the Haynes Manual on Caravans as it gives you a very good idea of how things work and what to look out for in a 'van.

If you live near a Towsure shop go and have a wander round. Their cataloque is worth having.

Have fun

Hello Vicky,

John Wickersham produced an excellent guide which is published by Haynes called the Caravan Handbook cost

Try and duplicate as much as you can of things you like to use at home, even if it takes you a long time to do so. This saves having to remember so many things to transfer from home to caravan - thus less stress! A great way to get a break, but give yourselves times to find the best way to do things.

Get that John Wickersham book previously recommended. I only bought it after my caravan purchase. If I had got it before I might have chosen differently.
