glass cooker cover

plz advise,my glass cover on my 1995 eldiss typhoon, has come lose from its hinges, and now whilst traveling i have to parcel it up,is it supposed to come out of the hinges ,or has the glue?!gone ,if so what should i use to glue it back into the hinges.

If I remember correctly, that the hinges are sprung and the glass is nipped between the hinge to keep it in position. It would probably mean buying a new hinge.

We had the same problem earlier this year. The dealer who has serviced the van in the past recommended clear silicone and said that was what would have been used originally. We thoroughly cleaned off all remnants of the old sealant and reapplied the new. So far, it has proved a very effective repair.
