Just a cautionary note to all who are out and about on the roads after the snowy season.
Potholes will be very prevelant, but don't be tempted to swerve at the last minuit to avoid them, as there is a strong likelyhood of there being black ice around them, due to tyres splashing the water out of the pot hole.
Modern alloy wheels have the spokes sited on the outside face, leaving a large portion of the inside rim of the wheel unsupported. BMW's seem to be particularly suseptable to damaged wheels, often cracking the rims. So be very carefull and check your wheels regularly for damage. Or better still do what the Gerry's do and fit steel rims with winter tyres until the snow and pot holes have gone away.
