We've got our first gold medal!! Nicole Cooke has won our first gold medal in the womens road cycle race!! It was a brilliant race and well deserved. Well done Nicole! And well done on being the first Welsh person in over 30 years to win a Gold. I love you!!!!!!!

Forgive my ignorance but are the Welsh , Scottish and English represented seperately at the Bejing Olympics rather than British?

Obviously I know that they're all team GB. I was just stating that she was the first Welsh gold winner since 1972, and as for me, I'm English!

Oh, and well done Rebecca Adlington, what a race!! I saw it live and was screaming the van down when I realised it was 0430, oops!! (I'm on a small site in Essex, working away!)
