Golden Square Camping & Caravan Park?

Hi everyone!

We were wondering if anyone out there had visited the above park. Looks and sounds great. What do you think?

Never been, but a good friend used to go several times a year and really loved it, until he went a bank holiday last year when he was shunted into a corner next to the toilet block (apparently not really a `pitch`) which he wasn`t happy about, then went out and came back to find another van crammed in within a couple of feet of him.

Don`t like it mate? He was told where the exit was!

Never been back since.

Site local to us which we tend to use maybe once a year for a weekend break. Well kept site which has won loo of the year on several occasions. Never been on a BH weekend so I cannot comment on the overcrowding which Angus mentioned. Helmsley just down the road and Flamingoland, Castle Howard and North Yorks Moors railway relatively close.

hi ,have not been for about4 years ,dont pitch near the slip slide if its still their,you will hear it from dawn to dusk,

as someone has said toilets were spotless ,and good security ,key to get barrier gate open.we once stopedin the quarry part of the site nice and quiet and sheltered
