Good Quality "Plastic" Crockery

Can anyone please recommend some good quality plastic / melamine crockery that is not so thin that it is flexible. It is needed to replace some Gaydon crockery which has lasted us for almost 30 years but now looks very dated!

Hi Alun,

Rather than go for plastic or melamine, why not get a cheap set of Arcoroc, it's much nicer!

It travels very well, as long as you secure it in it's designated cupboard, you should have no problems.

Plastic or melamine! YUK, got to be proper crockery & cutlery!

China crockery every time. if it breaks its easy to replace. plenty of chinese crockery around these days!!!

Hi Alun,

We bought all of our caravan crockery from an Auchan hypermarket in France one summer, they were having a sale of Arcopal plates, dishes, bowls, cups and the like.

These "shatter-proof" glass plates are great - Brenda hasn't killed one in five years - and they're just like new. In the sale we paid around Euro 10 for a complete 4 person set - plain white, but that's fine.

Forget plastic - it's just awful
