I am just checking out some caravan sites, and noticed when I click on the route, the map is now showing speed camera placements on Motorways, the more you zoom in the more it shows them. Never noticed them before , how long have they been there?

Edit. It only shows them on the blue selected route.

I was planning my route earlier and didn't see this. I know there are 50mph average speed cameras on part of the journey.

Yeah, same for me. I've checked two routes where there are fixed and average speed cameras and nothing showed on either of them

I have just checked it out on two more routes, RMK, Rural Milton Keynes, to Luton Airport and RMK to Bristol. Speed camera icons, little orange circles with camera inside, on both routes, maybe it's showing only the working ones.

I am using google maps on a Samsung tablet using Android OS.
