Google maps

Currently in Lytham St Annes visiting my parents, I drove up from work in Oxford on Friday ( left at noon) ( not towing the caravan).
I know the route but stuck google maps on anyway, and encountered slow moving traffic approaching the Lymm interchange at J 20, where it crawled to a halt.
Google maps directed me off at that junction, over the roundabout… and straight back onto the M6…. Saving me…… three minutes 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Currently pouring with rain here.

Anyone else ever had this happen with Google maps?

I've had some wierd results from Google Maps - worst was directing me off a motorway because of an accident, but directed everyone else using Google Maps on the same diversion and took longer than staying on the motorway.

I use Waze now, it's not perfect but seems more accurate than Google Maps.

I use Google maps for checking a route, but when just in the car, the SatNav in the Hyundai, will do that to me. My Snooper Caravan SatNav has not filled me with confidence either.

You don’t need Google or any other mapping aid. It’s de rigueur for certain motorists, as is manic lane changing too 😂
