Google Streetview

i know this has been mentioned before, but Streetview now covers most of England (not checked Scotland or Wales) and it is very good for checking junctions and site entrances. Planning your route on Google maps directions has the advantage that you can drag your route to amend it if it takes you on unsuitable roads.

ps I don't work for Google (or drive a camera car), but I found this exceptionally useful when I was going to Polstead C&CC site earlier this month.

Agree with you, but keep in mind the street view is usually a much later overlay on the original mapping and thus may not show you exactly how things are. For my own little corner of England these is a 5 year difference.

Slightly off-topic, but for some of the more recent street view captures it would be worthwhile using it to check the security of your caravan.

Basically, if you can see your caravan and security measures on streetview then so can the thieves who can now sit in the comfort of their home and ensure they're well tooled up for their plan of attack. Much less chance of a neighbour spotting them checking out your van in the weeks/days before any planned theft.

Just a thought.
