Modern cars should easily exceed 100k Miles without (serious) issue. I am aware of a Honda CRV that has over 300k on the clock, and it still feels like a 2/3 year old one.

What about the one owner Volvo P1800 that has racked up over 3.2 million miles and still going strong?

Like Triggers Broom, rebuilt the engine twice at least by 1.6 million miles.
110k miles a year, 9k miles a month, 300 miles a day, I bet he hasn't any kids or watches TV.

I hope , she will last me another 5 years, The Car and SWMBO. 💖. I have a recall on the electronic handbrake fuse, so at the same time will get a transmission fluid change. I don't like the idea a sealed for life unit. Gaffer bill , mentioned his fluid change , on the Santa Fe, made the gearbox feel different.

Looking at the MoT history, my old 2011 Santa Fe had done 156,000 last October, now doing about 6,000/year - seems to get a long list of failures every year, for suspension and lights - but never on engine or emissions which shows that the engine rebuild under warranty was done well by Motorfair in Birmingham although gave me a lot of grief at the time.

Wow, that sounds good.
I am anticipating, track rod ends and bushing to need replacing and probably suspension items, but willing to spend on high end equipment rather than cheap, and as I can change most stuff myself , that will save labour costs.

I recall that mine needed a front suspension ball-joint and rear damper gaiters at about 50,000 miles - done under warranty just before it expired - with one thing and another it spent more time off-road being repaired than all my previous cars together, in 40+ years.

That's a shame, mine has been the other way around, probably have done about 25 k miles towing, first 5 years , went to France every 12 weeks for a month, been very happy, must have got a mid week one.
I have considered new suspension bushes, but I will wait until MOT advisory.
