I just wanted to relate some good................no, great service, I have had recently.
Last week I took my 'van for service (its first) and some warranty work. After returning the 'van to storage and then arriving home, I attempted to get the detachable swan-neck off the tow bar receiver (it's a Bosal AK 4, removeable tow hitch).
At first the operating mechanism stuck and would not release the swan-neck (it has been a bit tempremental for a while now!). Even after plenty of shouting, cursing etc. it wasn't going to budge. I finally managed to get the thing off, then the lock barrel dropped out!!
As you can guess, I was a more than a bit miffed. Visions of trying to get the hitch sorted out for the coming season, expensive replacements, where to get a replacement? All questions to get answered.
After a bit of Googling, I found contact details for Bosal and decided to drop them an e-mail, with little expectation of even getting a reply even with the company being in the same area, albeit a few miles away.
How wrong could I be? Within a few hours of e-mailing I had a response, saying that the problem could be fixed and could I get the hitch to them. So yesterday, I drove over to the factory and a friendly bloke (Jason) took the swan-neck and said to wait in the car. Within half an hour, he was out and gave me the repaired part, complete with new lock barrel and innards. He showed me how to easily install and remove it (much more civilised without the swearing!) and would not let me "buy him a drink", saying it was all part of the service.
Thanks Bosal, your staff have the right attitude for customer service.
