Not new to caravanning but new to the forum,I started with an ABI transtar which I picked up cheap with a Vauxhall Vectra as a tow car but after a couple of years found the dreaded damp so traded up.I now have a Bailey Pegasus 462 and up until a month ago still used the Vectra. However whilst visiting a site in Dorset we had an incident on the day before we were due to leave. The incident involved a slope which got steeper,a picnic bench and the car ending up in a hedge, being taken home in a flat bed truck the van being left in Dorset because of mis understanding and eventually the car being written off.
The situation then was,I have no car,and the van is still in Dorset and my brother in law taken seriously ill .Stress levels very high. The first thing is a car I picked up a 15 plate Ford Kuga with 16000 on the clock drove it for 3 days then off to Dorset to pick van up a 400 mile round trip and van is back home, cleaned and ready for next trip the following weekend to Norfolk for a week.We had a great week in Sheringham wartime weekend etc weather was cracking till Thursday and sadly brother in law passed away on Friday.
This has been my August/September 2018 has anybodies been worse?

Zodd ,
Sorry to hear you've had a bad time with the car and then your family , we've had a bad few weeks to but hopefully October will be better onwards ,
on the plus side , at least you managed to get your van back home safely and reading on what you bought , you've bought a decent tow car as what we have , good sturdy tugger .

It looks as though you've had a rough time recently so hopefully things will get better soon.
