Euro

You chicken.

Surely you wanted to try out your Truma or Alde heating on full blast running 2000watts of electricity and gas full on, windows shut and hooray we have a sauna???

I'm taking two woolly hats just in case, one for me and one for the teapot.

Cheers

Thank god it's not my van Alan. So no, and I prefer blown air heating. Much better!

Alan,

At Christmas 2004 we were in our 2004 Wyoming at Troutbeck Head C.C.site.

We had two lots of heavy snow, the site is 1200feet above sea level.

For 4 days the night time temp was -8c and the day time around freezing. With the Truma on 2kwt electric 24/7, thermostat on almost full, and the blown air set as we have said on the other thread, we were as warm as toast.

You only had to walk round the site to see the caravans which had problems. From those I spoke to, every time, it was because they either turned the heating down when they went out or beleive it or not had actually swichted their heating off!!

I spoke to quite a few caravaneers because the Wardens were, and still are, close friends of ours and on Christmas morning was helping with snow clearing.

There is nothing better than sitting in a nice warm caravan, with the site covered in snow, and the sun shining on the mountains.

Now they have given out snow i just wish we could be at Grin Low.

Have a great time.
